It isn't easy starting a business today. Technology has completely changed how you need to view the business world, especially from the administrative point of view. Cost of entry is no longer the issue, but because of the glut of small businesses out there on the digital landscape it's all about being creative. I haven't gotten far in the book yet, but it's definitely an excellent guide for someone who is just starting out in the business world (or someone with a business who isn't experienced with Web 2.0's effect on the business world).Tags : MBA 2.0: Things You Won't Learn in Business School (Best Business Books Book 1) - Kindle edition by Can Akdeniz. MBA 20 Things You Won't Learn in Business School Best Business Books Book 1 eBook Can Akdeniz Reviews
I'm glad I stumbled across MBA 2.0 while searching for business books.
I really enjoyed how the chapters were short, concise, and to the point. But that didn't mean it skimped on pages, either; the book came in at more than 38 chapters including the epilogue. And each of those chapters is crammed full of useful information.
Too many business books I've read just seem to blather on; MBA 2.0 didn't suffer from this problem. There's not a lot of that technical business school jargon to slow you down here. You'll get everything that helps you and your business grow quickly and measurably, and in a language you can understand.
You don't need to be a business professional to get a lot out of this book. It does a great job giving you a professional development approach without all the boring conferences. And all the components of management and leadership are discussed in detail. You'll really benefit a lot when you read this book.
It's not enough to embrace the future. You have to be able to see how its going to work. Much of this book gets involved with new and likely emerging trends in business practices that will define business for the next generation. Politically and technologically business is undergoing a huge shift in best practices and mindset. This is hands down the best book I've read which captures emerging techniques for dealing with these changes. This is the kind of book that lets you know its time to throw older business management books away.
This book definitely has some of the best business-related material that I have ever came across, even in comparison to some very respected authors. The information is right on point, written in a no-filler, no-fluff way that is straightforward and practical. What I admire the most about this book is how the author can make even the most complex terminology and ideas into a way that is easy to understand for beginners, such as myself. The information is sophisticated and detailed but also written in a manner that is easy to learn from, the author has found that perfect medium between complexity and understandability.
The material is especially useful also due to how it can be applied to any kind of business, whether it's a huge one that employs dozens of people, or a smaller business with just a few employees - all of the information can be applied by anyone and I'm sure if a business owner follows the information correctly, then they will see some great results
I was looking for a book for graduate psychology students to familiarize them with business concepts. This book was too low-level for them. More appropriate for those without this level of education.
excellent
very elementary.
"MBA 2.0" is a must read for those of us interested in personal and professional development. What I like most about it is the way Can Akdeniz managed to make the content so easy to understand even by someone new to business, like myself.
The book is well written. It offers practical business insight and the topics it covers are very interesting, ranging from trends and challenges in business today to self-management, personal branding and career development. Overall, I think it's a great book to have and I strongly recommend it.
